As a Senior Personnel Security Specialist, you will:
Lead a team of specialist and assistants Monitor, adjust and balance workload of subordinate employees Grant, continue, extend, transfer, upgrade, downgrade or terminate clearances Execute the adjudication of activities associated with the HSPD-12 program Evaluate cases involving substantial derogatory information Approve and authorize medical evaluations, administrative review cases and requests for additional information Perform adjudicative review activities; execute programmatic and operational activities associated with automation of processes Conduct surveys in all personnel security program topical elements Review work performed by the personnel security support service contractor IN DESCRIBING YOUR EXPERIENCE, PLEASE BE CLEAR AND SPECIFIC. At least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-12 which demonstrates an advanced knowledge regarding personnel security principles, procedures and techniques, conduct of surveys and self-assessments. Skill in the application of advanced issue resolution interviewing techniques, including oral and written communication, sufficient to meet legal requirements. Skill and knowledge in managing and leading change within an organization. Skill in facilitating process improvement projects; and planning, organizing and directing special team studies. Ability to develop issue papers and defend recommended actions, utilize effective leadership skills, negotiations techniques, and conflict resolution methods to address and resolve complex problems related to the personnel security program. Skill in applying analytical and evaluative methods and techniques in the development of new procedures and approaches for resolving significant issues or problems. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience. Examples of qualifying unpaid experience may include:
volunteer work done through National Service programs (such as Peace Corps and AmeriCorps); as well as work for other community-based philanthropic and social organizations. Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills; and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.Time-In-Grade/Band:

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
