Fish and Wildlife Technician 1 (Seasonal)

Conducting surveys for forest/young forest and grassland birds, marsh birds, raptors, New England cottontail and small mammals; assisting with data entry, data summarization and completion of summary reports related to work on these and other projects. Incumbents should have a demonstrated ability to identify northeastern bird species by sight and sound and/or experience with small mammal trapping. Experience in the use of GPS, GIS and Excel are required. Experience in recording vegetation measurements in the field and identifying habitat types from aerial photographs is desirable. Position involves travel from the office to study sites and will require long days and frequent early morning and evening hours.

Salary Range:
From $16.67 to $16.67 Hourly
Minimum Qualification
30 semester credit hours, including 12 semester credit hours in fisheries; marine resources or wildlife management; mariculture; marine biology; aquaculture; aquatic, marine or terrestrial ecology; zoology; marine technology; botany; limnology; hydrology; or oceanography.Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
