What You'll Be Doing:
- In the Machinist role, employees will set up and operate a variety of manual and numerically controlled machine tools.
- Work from drawings, sketches, and other instructions to perform machining operations such as mill, turn, face, bore, groove, contour, dovetail, drill, tap, etc. to precise electrical and mechanical tolerances.
What You Need To Bring To The Table:
- At least one (1) year of practical machining experience in set-up and operation of a variety of manual and CNC machines: including mills, drills, grinders, broaches, turret lathes, horizontal bore, EDM, engine lathes, etc.
- 18 years of age or older.
- High School Diploma, GED or equivalent
- Must have at least one of the following:
- Associate's degree in a Machining related field
- A minimum of a 1-year machining certificate
- A Journeyman's card with completion of a Machining apprentice program
- Ability, with or without accommodation, to lift/push/pull at least 50 pounds.
- Ability to work overtime as required.
- Ability to work occasional weekend shifts.
- Ability to wear personal protective equipment, for example safety glasses, gloves, ear plugs, and safety shoes.
- Ability and willingness to take a pre-employment test and submit to technical interview.
- Successful completion of a background check and drug screen.
- Able to read blueprints.
- Strong math skills.
- Able to use, read, and understand measuring tools.
