Mechanical Maintenance Generalist needed for a direct hire opportunity with Yoh's client located in Schenectady, NY.

What You'll Be Doing:
- Maintain and modify machine tools, conveyors, process equipment, and facilities.
- Diagnoses the problem or improper operation of the equipment, mechanically, hydraulically, and electrically.
- Plans the sequence of repair tasks, including removal and reinstallation of any necessary covers, guards, deckplates, brackets, motors, wiring, conduit, or sealtite.
- Obtains necessary tools, supplies, and spare parts required.
- Repair of simple parts that may require drilling, reaming, turning, milling, polishing, etc.
- Disassembly of equipment and reassembles the equipment and makes sure of proper operation of the equipment.
- Works with: hand tools, Machine tools (lathes, grinders, milling, saws, EDM, presses, drills, hones, welders, etc.). Measuring devices: scales, micrometers, veneer calipers, tape measures, thermal measuring devices, lasers. Mobile equipment: scooters, scissors lifts, JLG lifts, fork lifts, winch trucks.
- Perform Preventative Maintenance checks.
- Will work with schematics manuals and ensure safe work practices
What You Need to Bring to the Table:
- Two (2) plus years of experience in Maintenance, Facilities and/or Manufacturing position.
- AS Degree in Mechanical Engineering Technology OR Military school certification OR completion of Technical Apprentice Program.
- Willing and able to work any shift.
- Available and willing to work Overtime
- Ability and willingness to lift/push/pull at least 50 pounds.
- PPE required.
- Experience in a Machine Shop Environment
- Experience in successfully reading and interpreting electrical, mechanical or hydraulic schematic drawings.
