Newscast Director
WRGB/WCWN is looking for a Director for our Newscast.
Responsibilities:
Perform any production duties as assigned including:
- TD newscasts and other productions using a fully automated control room
- Prep and maintain production studio and control room
- Perform other tasks related to the position as assigned
- Works with producers on rundown preparation and show presentation
- Troubleshoot any problems during newscasts.
Requirements:
- Experience directing newscasts. Experience with robotic cameras, Ross Overdrive, Ross Xpression and iNews a plus
- Knowledge of production standards and equipment
- Basic knowledge of studio and production equipment such as microphones, IFBs, audio consoles and video switchers
- Ability to clearly give direction to crew and talent while under pressure
- Typing and good spelling skills
- Ability to read and write
- College degree preferred
- Must be able to lift & position 40 lb. lighting instruments.
The base hourly compensation range for this role is $16.35 to $18.75 per hour. Final compensation for this role will be determined by various factors such as a candidates relevant work experience, skills, certifications, and geographic location.
