The Day Program Assistant will be responsible to maintain a safe and welcoming environment in the Agency as well as greet and guide visitors and guests.
The position will collect appropriate information and direct clients to the designated staff member when requested.
The position will maintain smooth operations in the Hospitality Center by providing and directing clients to emergency services as well as ensure volunteers, facilitators and staff from area providers and community service participants sign in and out appropriately.
Specific Duties/
Responsibilities:
Greet and direct all who enter the building to proper locations and staff members.
Collect basic information in order to direct guests to appropriate staff, services or resources.
Will follow procedures related to incoming guests attending programs and meeting with staff.
Will manage incoming calls and requests for information effectively and will seek assistance as needed.
Will facilitate and assist in the Agency Safety Plan and Emergency Protocols when needed.
Will follow and ensure that Residential Policies and Procedures are being followed, specifically as related to signing in and out and the Resident Visitor Policies.
Will record daily in the Communication Log Book with appropriate information to relay to alternate front desk shifts.
Will contact Business Office for all business related activities such as deliveries, employment applications, interviews, and community contractors.
Will participate in morning and afternoon meetings to collect staff schedule information and program changes.
Adhere to the agency's policies and procedures as well as the personnel manual.
All other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Associate's Degree with experience in human services agency OR high School Diploma with five years' experience in Health and Human service agency required.
Excellent organizational and both written and verbal communication skills necessary.
Computer literacy a must Demonstrated ability to work in collaboration with peers to provide sound leadership in a not-for-profit agency.
Valid, clean NYS Driver's License and ability to provide own transportation.

The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
