Primary Duties and Responsibilities
The Administrative Assistant 1 works within the Regional Office Team to:
o Respond to calls to the Regional Office 3 (Capital District, Hudson Valley and Taconic) o Answers the Front Door Info Line for fourteen counties within Region 3 and send a follow up e-mail to the identified rotation of Front Door Social Worker for them to further assist callers. o Add family members to the Front Door Information Session schedule for upcoming training sessions and follows up with any families that use call- in option to confirm their attendance following the session. o Perform clerical duties with sensitive time frames such as typing Notices of Decision for initial e-mod/waiver applicants as well as for service amendments, time-sensitive eligibility letters, respond to requests for data, upload supporting documentation to CHOICES, utilizing our SharePoint and TABS documentation, etc. o Perform other clerical duties to include but not be limited to:
word processing, typing letters, completing filing, ordering supplies, scheduling rooms, scheduling meetings, WebEx capability and equipment, attend/take meeting minutes, printing and copying information as requested, preparing necessary equipment for meetings, entering time off requests, creating basic forms, submit Help Desk tickets and Work Requests, as needed, assisting the team, etc. o Assist with phone coverage for other Regional Office clerical support staff on a daily basis. o Other duties as assigned. Salary Range:
From $44957 to $55093 Annually
Minimum Qualification

Qualifications:
Candidates must be reachable for appointment on the current Civil Service Eligible List for this title. OR Candidates must have one year of permanent service in the posted title (formerly Secretary 1) and be eligible for lateral transfer. OR Be eligible to transfer via Section 70.1 of Civil Service Law. OR Candidates must have one year of permanent competitive or 55b/c service in a title SG-9 or above deemed eligible for transfer under Section 70.1 of the Civil Service Law AND must have completed all required mandatory and elective coursework. Candidates must have one year of permanent competitive or 55 b/c service in a title SG-6 or above deemed eligible for transfer under Section 70.1 of the Civil Service Law. Administrative Assistant Trainee 2:

Candidates must have one year of permanent competitive or 55b/c service in a title SG-8 or above deemed eligible for transfer under Section 70.1 of the Civil Service Law AND completion of all required mandatory coursework. If transferring from a non-keyboarding title, will have to take and pass a keyboarding test.Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
