00 Hourly Description Position Summary Provide child development services to young children and their families.
Bring to the educational process an understanding of the psychosocial development of children and the influences of family, community, and culture.
Promote family engagement as a collaborative and strengths-based process through which early childhood professionals, families, and children build positive and goal-oriented relationships.
Essential Duties and Responsibilitiesinclude the following.

Implement a research-based, home-based parent curriculum for home visits and socializations and manage a caseload of up to 12 families.

Implement a research-based early childhood curriculum, and conduct child screenings and assessments while keeping accurate and timely documentation.

Provide interactions, learning experiences, and environments that deliver developmentally, linguistically, and culturally appropriate activities that support children's cognitive, social, and emotional growth for later success in school.

Provide home visits and group socialization activities distributed over the course of the program year
Plan and implement home-based learning experiences that ensure effective implementation of the home visiting curriculum and promote childrens progress.

Utilize the Head Start Parent, Family, and Community Engagement Framework (PFCE) as a guide to learning how family engagement promotes positive, enduring change for children, families, and communities.

Support families in promoting their childs development, parenting strategies, behaviors, social/emotional needs, establishing routines, and advocating for families by providing referrals for community resources.

Work with families to develop transition plans for each child and family at least 6 month prior to leaving the program.

Ensure that enrollment intakes, Family Outcomes Assessments, Family Partnership Agreements, and other related tasks are scheduled and conducted.

Coordinate with Content Area Specialists (Health, Education, Disabilities, and Mental Health) to ensure clear communication and planning of conjoint activities across program options.

Represent Agency in community early intervention advocacy groups, coalitions and committees as needed and assigned.

Education and/or Experience Have a minimum of a home-based CDA credential or comparable credential, or equivalent coursework as part of an associate's or bachelor's degree.
Familiarity with Head Start Performance Standards is preferred.
New York State Drivers license is required.

The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
