Primary Duties and Responsibilities
o Assist with self-disclosure reporting submittals within the agency, and to the NYS OMIG. o Provide assistance and outreach support to the Medicaid Compliance Liaison field staff. o Assist with developing policies, procedures and training materials that promote compliance and efficiencies for state operations across the organization. o Review new or updated guidance from oversight agencies on areas relating to compliance program operation. o Facilitate, conduct, and/or participate in various district and statewide compliance meetings. o Assist with, or conduct, day-to-day and annually required activities to support OPWDD's State Operations Medicaid Compliance Program and the annual certification of compliance for OPWDD as a provider of services. o Provide unit representation on relevant intra-agency work groups as requested. o Assist with or conduct special projects, as assigned. o Occasional travel may be required. Experience:
o Familiarity with OPWDD regulations, Administrative Memorandums (ADM's), HCBS waiver service programs, service documentation, internal control processes. o Analytical and administrative skills/experience including reviewing and writing of policies and procedures. o Presentation and training experience helpful. o Microsoft Office Suite skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Access. o Ability to work well independently and in a team environment. As a condition of Medicaid participation, certain laws require OPWDD as a provider of service (state operations) to adopt and implement an effective compliance program to identify areas of Medicaid fraud, waste, and abuse to assist with the integrity of the Medicaid program. This position will perform professional, administrative, and analytical duties to plan, develop, implement, and maintain components of OPWDD's Medicaid Compliance Program.

Salary Range:
From $79325 to $100342 Annually
Minimum Qualification
Candidates must be reachable for appointment on the current Civil Service Eligible List for this title. Or Candidates must have one year of permanent competitive or 55-b/c status in the posted title and be eligible for lateral transfer; OR be eligible to transfer via Section 70.1 or 52.6 of Civil Service Law. The transfer cannot be a second consecutive transfer resulting in an advancement of more than two salary grades.Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
