Business Systems Analyst 1

The Business Systems Analyst 1 will work as a member of OPWDD's Data Reporting and Analytics Bureau and be responsible for working with OPWDD business staff to analyze, define, develop, and communicate requirements for new and existing data systems. The candidate will also assist data analysists and research scientists with their business intelligence and data analysis activities. Duties may include, but are not limited to:
- Working with business users to gather requirements for new IT systems. - Documenting existing IT systems; working with business users as necessary to understand processes. - Developing training documentation for end-users. - Translating user requirements into technical requirements and vice versa. - Creating flowcharts to visualize processes. - Keeping apprised of laws and regulations pertaining to systems and verifying systems meet those regulations. - Assisting senior team members in performing business intelligence and data analysis activities. - Creating SharePoint forms. PREFERRED TECHNICAL SKILLS:
- Advanced understanding of Microsoft Excel; including PivotTables, PivotCharts, and queries. - Knowledge of Microsoft SharePoint and Power Automate, including creating forms and related tracking flows. - Knowledge of Tableau, SQL and SAS is a plus

Salary Range:
From $61270 to $77912 Annually
Minimum Qualification
Candidates must be reachable for appointment on the current Civil Service Eligible List, Professional Careers Opportunity (PCO) or OPWDD's Central Office Public Administration Traineeship Transition (PATT). Appointment will be made at the traineeship level. OR Candidates must have one year of permanent competitive or 55-b/c status in the posted title and be eligible for lateral transfer; OR be eligible to transfer via Section 70.1, 70.4, or 52.6 of Civil Service Law. The transfer cannot be a second consecutive transfer resulting in an advancement of more than two salary grades. The position may be filled at the Business Systems Analyst Trainee 1 equated to SG-13, ($46,529), Business Systems Analyst Trainee 2 level equated to SG-14, ($49,202) or full performance SG-18, ($61,270) based on education and experience. Candidates hired at the trainee level will be advanced to the full performance Business Systems Analyst 1 SG-18 following the successful completion of the traineeship.Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
