Dominion House is a short-term, stabilization group home located in Schenectady, NY.
Responsibilities of the Dominion House Program Director are to provide leadership and supervision to a program on site.
The program serving 12 adults who have a diagnosis of a severe mental illness with cooccurring disorders such as substance use and chronic homelessness and are in need of stabilizing in the community.
Clients want to reach their full potential and gain the skills for independent living.
We only provide service which include verbal interactions with client.
There is no personal care and no physical restraints.
Duties include:
Program oversight including all service provision including evaluation of client referrals, client admission, communication and collaboration with service providers and family members, oversee service provisions that are client centered and focused on transition.
Administrations of Medicaid billable services, regulatory compliance, oversee the apartments are safe and comfortable, and oversee the program budget.
Staff training and development, leadership, and supervision of 9 staff members including two Assistant Program Directors, shared on-call for staff are also a responsibility.
Oversights to ensuring the group home is maintained in a safe and healthy manner with the assistance of the clients and the team.
The COVID-19 vaccine and boosters are required or properly approved exemption consistent with applicable laws.
Skills/Qualifications for the Dominion House Program Director include:
Bachelor's degree in human services preferred.
Master's degree in Social Work, Counseling, or Psychiatric Rehabilitation preferred 5 years' experience working with the mentally ill in required 2 years' supervisory experience required Valid and insurable driver's licenses as agency vehicles are available for business use Experience with electronic records Experience with crisis intervention and prevention Strong leadership ability Excellent communication skills both verbal and written The COVID-19 vaccine and boosters are required or properly approved exemption consistent with applicable laws.
